IS THIS LOVE OR A DEATH TRAP? INTRIGUING STORY OF LOVE GONE SOUTH.
Personally I've never been in a toxic relationship,but I've got to experience it's devastating effects in the news, social media and read it in countless articles and news papers.
Aftermath of toxic relationships is never pleasing,families torn apart,lovers maimed by partners and when worst comes to worst, persons take their own lives or that of the people they couldn't let go.
Is it that people invest soo much in relationships or people get too attached to let go or is it exit strategies from the human that once held their emotions that people lack.
In Kenya, toxic relationships is becoming more and more of a norm especially amongst young couples in campuses.
Toxic relationships is an issue that needs to be addressed and talked about,it cuts across both genders,it's a topic that mostly to the abused men it's a shame to talk about,they let the scars tell their stories.
Let's talk about some causes of toxic relationships.
Recently high court denied bail to Peter mugure a soldier, accused of killing his wife and children in an army barrack, reason being he found out that the children he was raising were not his biological children.is this rage or jealousy? comment below.
Tragic murder of Ivy wangechi a medical student at moi university is still fresh in our mind,the 25 year olds life was cut short by one kinuthia due to rejection.
The two are just but an example of love gone south.
Some signs of a toxic relationship are;
- Feeling drained instead of happy in a relationship.
- Lack of trust in a relationship.
- Constant anger and quarrels in a relationship.
- Unreliability of one's partner.
- Most importantly lack of communication.
I believe the best thing to do is to walk away from the toxic relationship,you might try counseling or therapy sessions but at the end of the day one's life is more important.
